Our Love Story

TLDR: We were best friends who fell in love.

Friends for years before realizing we were the perfect match! We both knew we had found someone special because we kept trying to set our friends up with each other saying, "Oh, he/she is such a great guy/girl." Facepalm, right? Thank goodness Jordan finally got some sense and set us on the right path. He says one day he realized, "Wait a minute! She's the perfect girl for ME." He won my heart, and the rest is history. He's been setting us on the right path ever since.

Do you want to really laugh at our cluelessness? We grew up together; met in kindergarten, were good friends in high school, best friends in college, despite the fact we attended completely different schools, then finally we started dating! We've been together ever since. I guess good things really do come to those who wait because we have been very happily married for 12 years.

Our Traveling Journey

We love traveling, and on countless trips, we are STILL often mistaken as honeymooners (even after 20 years together). Hey, in my 30s, I'll take that compliment for as long as I can get it! Traveling is our passion. We are blessed to travel together, spending more than half of our time on the road or living abroad.

Our traveling journey began with roadtrips in the United States (the best we could manage with a "broke college student" budget). When our budget allowed, we transitioned to international adventures, and have now visited 50 countries. In early 2020, we purchased our first camper and we have been spending a ton of time enjoying the RV life the past few years as digital nomads. 

In order to travel as much as possible, we keep a pretty tight budget. Okay, okay, our budget is pretty much completely based around saving for travel expenses. We frequently buy with coupons, shop in the clearance section, and drive used cars so we can contribute to the travel fund! We have learned SO many techniques for budget travel without compromising on safety or comfort. And yes, absolutely, we can share all our secrets!

Over the past few years, we have started working remotely more and more, and now work remotely full-time. This has allowed us to travel and "live" (short-term) in some great destinations: India, Nicaragua, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Jordan, 3 months traveling the Western U.S., 5 months "living" in our tiny camper as snowbirds (on an awesome horse ranch) in Central Florida. Next up? Who knows!
