Christy
Christy has many travel related hobbies: taking photos, writing, scenic drives and hikes... The list is long! Like Jordan, Christy enjoys countless outdoor adventures. She is definitely a budget traveler - more savings means more trips! She is also quite the animal lover. Fourteen years with her pup, Madison, has inspired her to volunteer and help endangered animals, while protecting their natural habitats.
Having checked numerous famous landmarks off her bucket list, she has come to have a love affair with quiet, off-the-beaten-path destinations. She isn't much of an "Instagram tourist." She does drool over the beautiful photos and destinations, but runs screaming from crowded tourist areas! Her favorite places are authentic areas, saturated with music, food, beautiful traditional clothing, historic architecture, and true local culture. She loves street food (yes, she has developed an iron stomach - don't ask), vendor markets and locally owned "mom and pop shops."
Christy is the official "health and safety officer" of this traveling duo. She does recon to know where to find hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, as well as assess potential safety concerns related to specific destinations and activities. Managing her own chronic illness, she tries to ensure the two of them make reasonably healthy choices. She tries hard to find the balance between being smart and cautious without being a party pooper.
Christy is a marketing professional - working remotely (woo hoo!), who enjoys exercising, spending time with family, watching crime documentaries and cheesy 90s sitcoms, and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She is also learning Spanish and trying to pick up a little Italian (well... yeah... it could be going better). She is a small-town girl at heart. She loves the adventure, but doesn't stay far from family for too long.

Jordan
Whether traveling, or at home in rural Indiana, Jordan is a big fan of outdoor activites - especially if they are free! Some of his favorites include camping, snorkeling, hiking and kayaking. Partially due to lack of travel options this past year, he has become quite well versed (one may even say obsessed) in the world of camping/boondocking and solar power.
He and his dad have always shared an interest in World War II history. If there is a WWII monument or historic landmark nearby, he can't miss it! He especially enjoys touring war ships, seeing tanks and other 1940s heavy military equipment. Jordan is always on the lookout for ideal scuba destinations, truly authentic experiences, and places rich in history. He talks his parents into joining in on the journey every chance he gets.
Jordan does a TON of logistical planning on the Honeymooners' adventures (i.e.; which train from which station at what time, which airline, which airport, which trail, etc). He also plans for unexpected needs (extra batteries, charging cables, back-up supplies). These seemingly tedious details are SO important - just one trip without the pre-planning will prove it! His slightly compulsive attention to detail helps every trip run smoothly.

Jordan is an analyst who is thrilled to have recently achieved his dream of securing a permanently remote position. He can't stop thinking about the future travel possibilities! Jordan also spends excessive amounts of time on Amazon shopping for awesome camping and travel gear! He really does find some cool and useful stuff! He is working hard to get back to his pre-lockdown level of fitness (aren't we all?). He spends a few nights a week at the gym working on endurance.
